MOSS BLUFF, LA (KPLC) -

Many Moss Bluff residents say the La. 378 spur from Westlake to Moss Bluff causes confusion for drivers and is the scene of many accidents.

State Department of Transportation and Development's District Administrator Todd Landry said that the signs are correct and that there is not a statistically high number of accidents at this intersection.

One solution Landry said is a project that is currently being studied. The DOTD plans to make a four-lane divided highway with a turning lane to help with the flow from Lake Charles to Westlake. This would also help with the confusion at this intersection.
