A warning for those seeking to get a tattoo. The FDA is reporting that not all tattoo ink is safe. Last month, one company recalled inks in in-home tattoo kits, after testing confirmed bacterial contamination in unopened bottles.

The industrial expansion headed our way is expected to touch just about every part of southwest Louisiana, including schools. KPLC's Lee Peck is working on a special report for this evening, but is providing a preview for us at noon.

Also today, they work hard to keep us safe. Now, a Michigan company is working to keep police dogs safe by making bullet-proof vests for four-legged officers.
