CROWLEY, LA (KPLC) - Crowley Police have identified a suspect in the homicide that took place Saturday in the 1000 block of West 7th St.

The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Damaris Harmon of Crowley, who is described as a black male, six-feet, 3-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds with short hair. 

"Today, we are releasing the identity of the suspect in this murder and as for the the public to assist us in bringing him to justice," said Police Chief K.P. Gibson. "This was not a random act, as our investigation shows that Harmon entered the residence with force and sought the victim in the residence... He should be considered armed and dangerous."

According to authorities, Harmon fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.

Anyone with information regarding Harmon's location is asked to call Crowley Police at 783-1234 or Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 789-8477. Callers will remain anonymous.
