Tropical wave less organized, no threat to SWLA at this time

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

The tropical wave in the Atlantic Ocean is less organized now than it was yesterday.

It still could develop into a depression or storm, but KPLC Chief Meteorologist Wade Hampton said it poses no threat to Southwest Louisiana at this time.

The area in the Atlantic Ocean known as "Invest 93L" is more disorganized today than yesterday. But it still could become a tropical depression or tropical storm if it can become better organized over the next few days.

The spaghetti plot of all of the computer model forecast tracks shows it turning more west-northwesterly and eventually northwesterly.

This means it may not threaten the United States at all.
