HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Baby monitors from Mayborn USA are being recalled due to a strangulation hazard.

The company said the recall is for two models of the Tommee Tippee Monitor with Movement Sensor Pad.

They were sold at Toys "R" Us, Babies "R" Us stores as well as the website Amazon.com since September 2011. They cost about $150.

The models are labeled 1082S and 1094S. Those can be found on the bottom of the camera.

It said a child could pull the sensor pad cord into the crib, which could wrap around the child's neck.

About 25,000 units were sold in the U.S. It comes in three parts: The baby unit, the parent unit and the movement sensor pad.

The pad is white with a 10' cord that runs from the pad to the baby monitor unit.

Both models come with a sensor pad that fits under the baby's crib and sounds an alarm if no movement is detected for 20 seconds.

There is a keypad and a small screen above it on both the baby unit and the parent unit.

Model 1094S includes a night-vision video camera.

No injuries have been reported.

Customers with any questions about the recall can call Mayborn at (866) 214-1537 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

More information can also be found on the company's website here.

For the Oakdale Police Department one of their constant battles isn't necessarily with criminals, but instead with their phones. Their phone lines were down for most of the weekend, and just got back up yesterday, but this isn't the first time they've dealt with this.  The phones are ringing at the Oakdale Police Department now, but this past weekend that wasn’t the case.  “Friday evening our phones went down,” said police chief, Joseph Lockett. ...More >>
