Two unrelated incidents in the Indian Orchard section of the city kept police busy early Saturday morning.
CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican reported that at approximately 1:15 a.m. officers found an 18-year-old man with a cut to his hand from a group trying to enter his home on Worcester Street.
While at the scene, police heard gunshots on nearby Oak Street.
Officers witnessed a male shooting at another man.
The suspect was able to evade police.
The shooting victim was unharmed.
The incidents remain under investigation.

Multiple agencies worked to knock out a structure fire in Vinton Sunday. Around 3:30 p.m., the Vinton Fire Department responded to a call on Center Street. Fire was showing through the roof of the burning house in two locations when firefighters arrived, said Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Merchant.More >>

The suspect in a deadly Saturday afternoon shooting in Sulphur has been arrested. At 1 p.m. on Nov. 18, officers were called to the 1300 block of South Post Oak Road in reference to a shooting, said Sulphur Police Chief Lewis Coats. Upon arriving, officers found that David Reed III, 24, of Sulphur, had been shot and that the suspect had fled the scene.More >>
