IOTA, LA (KPLC) -

An Iota couple has been arrested, following an investigation by the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office into a shoplifting incident.

Kami Rivet, 39, and Kenton Aycock, 39, were arrested Tuesday in connection with the theft of alcohol from a local business.

Authorities said the incident happened at a truck stop and convenience store in the 100 block of Frontage Road near Duson.

Arrest warrants were issued for the two suspects, and they were taken into custody without incident.

They were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. Bond has been set for Aycock and Rivet at $7,500 by District Judge Kristen Earles.
