The intersection of La. 14 and Prien Lake Road was reopened early Wednesday morning, more than 13 hours after a large truck took down a traffic light.

Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, a large truck hit the pole and it fell on a vehicle.

Law enforcement was forced to close sections of the road Tuesday night while state DOTD officials worked to replace the light.

All roadways were reopened by 1:30 a.m.

State highway officials say a big rig used to drill water wells was turning south when its front end caught the light pole. That caused the pole to crash on top of an SUV with a woman and three children inside. No injuries were reported.
