JEFF DAVIS PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

Three 33-year-old Southwest Louisiana residents have been arrested on charges of theft, trespassing and criminal damage to property, authorities said.

Chris Ivey, spokesman from the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office, said the three are accused off running a copper theft ring.

Ivey said Phillip Monroe Smith, of Kinder, Paul Lane Reeves, Singer, and Joshlynn Marie Moore, of Lake Charles, were arrested after trespassing on property in Welsh.

"Deputies discovered the subjects trespassing and found them to be in possession of tools and copper wire removed from the area," Ivey said Friday in a news release. "(We) expect to make additional arrests."

Bond was pending for all three.
