CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested two men on charges of failure to register as a sex offender.

Authorities say that an offender status check revealed that 28-year-old Renado Keelen of Lake Charles and 27-year-old William Prielipp of Westlake had both moved without notifying the proper authorities within three days, as is required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Keelen was arrested on July 9 and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on a charged of failure to register as a sex offender. His bond was set at $25,000 by Judge Clayton Davis.

According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, Keelen was previously convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a juvenile in June 2007 in Dallas, Texas.

Prielipp was arrested July 14 and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. His bond was set at $7,500 by Judge Sharon Wilson.

According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, Prielipp was previously convicted of sexual battery in May 2011 in North Carolina.
