Read, Write, Swim at the Calcasieu Parish Public Library

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) - Calcasieu Parish Public Library and Sulphur Parks and Recreation have teamed up to reward children for visiting their libraries.

The Read, Write, Swim Program is a weekly drawing in which participants are asked to write a brief description of how SPAR Waterpark and the library could be a part of their summer fun. The submissions were entered into the drawings being held at the 12 library branches from June 9 through July 18.

The Friends of the Library, Calcasieu purchased 288 tickets from the water park and SPAR matched them with a donation of 288 additional tickets. All 576 tickets were distributed throughout all 12 library branches in the Calcasieu Library System, and awarded to the winners or the drawing.
