LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Lake Charles Symphony will take a trip to the movies on July 12. Doors to the Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum will open at 6:30 p.m.and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

The symphony’s "Summer Pops Goes to the Movies" will give listeners a chance to relive scores from classics like "Rocky," "Lord of the Rings," "Jaws" and more. 

Scenes from the movie selections will be projected onto giant screens, and moviegoers can buy concessions from vendors at the event. Those who attend are welcome to dress as their favorite movie character.
