LEESVILLE, LA (KPLC) - A Leesville man has been arrested by the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office on charges of inappropriate sexual contact involving a juvenile.

Authorities say they received a complaint on June 28 regarding inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that 70-year-old James "Jim" Limbaugh brought a 14-year-old male to a secluded location, where authorities say he showed the juvenile pornographic material and touched the juvenile inappropriately.

"The juvenile was able to describe specific inappropriate sexual behavior by Limbaugh," said the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office in a news release. "The juvenile stated that he became fearful and left the vehicle walking... The juvenile stated that he was ultimately talked into getting back into the vehicle by Limbaugh at which time he was driven home."

Authorities say that during an interview, Limbaugh admitted to inappropriate sexual behavior with the juvenile.

The juvenile told investigators that he was advised by Limbaugh not to tell anyone about the incident.

Limbaugh was arrested and charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count of sexual battery. Limbaugh was released after posting a $50,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
