LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - A jury on Wednesday found Armonta DeQuon Hadnot guilty on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.

It took the jury less than two hours to return the verdict.

Hadnot, 19, is the accused trigger man in last year's triple homicide at McMillan Park.

Sentencing has been set for 9 a.m. July 8. The Calcasieu District Attorney's Office said last year it would not seek the death penalty for Hadnot. The sentence for a first-degree murder conviction is life in prison at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.

Hadnot is accused of robbing and fatally shooting Jerminskian J. Arvie, David Jermaine Galmore and Fitzgerald Tremayne Guillory on March 20, 2013.

KPLC's Haley Rush will have more on later editions.
