Lake Charles, LA (AP) -

The largest anti-drug operation in Southwest Louisiana history took another step forward Thursday.

According to the Associated Press, 51 people were indicted on cocaine distribution charges.

A Calcasieu Parish grand jury handed down the indictments in connection with the recent Operation 27 drug roundup.

Norvell K. Harris, 36, was one of the main targets of the operation. He was arrested on 65 counts of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Harris, of Iowa, is being held on a $12,550,000 bond. He was indicted on 188 counts on Thursday.

Authorities said they named the operation for Harris, who has now been arrested 27 times.
