Story of attack victim kicked out of KFC could be hoax

JACKSON, MS (WAVE) – A report indicates the story of a 3-year-old girl, kicked out of a KFC because of scarring on her facing, could be a hoax.

The family of Victoria Wilcher claimed the girl and her grandmother were asked to leave the restaurant because her dog-attack scars were scaring other patrons. The accusations prompted the fast food chain to donate $30,000 to cover medical bills.

Sources tell a Mississippi newspaper the story doesn't quite add up, so the restaurant hired a private investigator to look into the issue.

The PI revealed no security footage of Wilcher and her grandmother in the restaurant the day they claimed they were asked to leave and there was no record of their order.

KFC says they will follow through with the donation even if the story proves false.
