Teen attempted murder suspect found thanks to tip

DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -

A teenager, who was wanted for three counts of attempted murder, is now behind bars.

The Denham Springs Police Department reported earlier in the week that they were looking for 17-year-old Alfrederick Odom Jr. At the time, officials were describing Odom as armed and dangerous. But now, investigators say a new reports resulted in a tip that led them to Odom's location.

Odom is now in custody, and has been booked on the charges.

    Willow Rain Molina-Renteria's baby-sitter has been indicted a year and two months after her death. A grand jury in Vernon Parish indicted Rodney D. Bailey Jr. on charges of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and obstruction of justice. Bailey faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted.     Over 2,000 soldiers stationed at Fort Polk will deploy to Iraq this fall, the City of Leesville announced Thursday.

    Approximately 2,100 soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, will conduct combat and anti-terrorism operations in Iraq, said Sonny Harrell, City of Leesville spokesman.
