PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) -

The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office reports they are investigating a natural gas leak coming from a well off of LA 75 near Plaquemine High School.

Our news crew is at the scene. The incident happened somewhere between Stassi and Jack Miller Roads.

Since the leak is reported to be very close to the road, deputies have the area blocked in both directions. However, residents in the area are being allowed into their homes.

No homes have been evacuated.
