Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

The application process for concealed handgun permits has just gotten easier in Louisiana. We'll explain how residents can now access the application online. You can also learn more about it HERE.

Also today, our food is getting more expensive. We'll examine why grocery prices are expected to rise three percent this year, and how you can avoid sticker shock at the store.

Looking to improve your home? A new show will soon debut starring actor Antonio Sabato Jr. In "Fix it and Finish it," Sabato surprises people who need a little help making their house a home. At noon, we'll have a preview.

Plus, the latest entry in the smartphone wars comes from a name many consumers know.  But can Amazon carve out a spot in an already crowded field?

And take a look at THIS – a monster, 880 pound gator is being recognized as the largest recorded American alligator harvested legally in the state of Texas.

Ben tells me we'll warm to around 90 degrees this afternoon, with very minimal chances for rain. What can we expect for our weekend – any rain chances there? Tune in at noon for Ben's live, local forecast for the answer. You can also get the latest weather conditions HERE.

Remember, if you're away from the TV at noon, you can always tune in to kplctv.com to watch us online and your mobile device.

Have a great day everyone!
