NOONDAY, TX (KLTV) - East Texas authorities are searching for a suspect and a stolen vehicle involved in an early morning bank robbery.

Smith County sheriff's deputies were called around 7:06 a.m. Friday to the Austin Bank on Highway 155 South in Noonday.

According to the sheriff, the suspect, armed with a revolver, forced an employee into the bank and took her keys. He then left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and stole the employee's white Cadillac CTS with Texas license plate number CJ7 Z230.

Authorities describe the suspect as a black male with a small build wearing an "Ace bandage" around his face. “We need the public to be on the lookout for this vehicle and please call us immediately if they see it,” said Sheriff Larry Smith.

Investigators are at the scene talking to witnesses, according to sheriff's office spokesman John Moore.

The Department of Public Safety and FBI are assisting with the investigation. Officials are processing the scene for fingerprints and other evidence.
