LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Two Lake Charles men have been arrested on charges of failure to register as a sex offender, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Stephen R. Johnson, 44, and Paul E. Harris, 31, were arrested June 13 at their home on Toussaint Road.

Both men failed to renew their sex offender identification cards, Myers said.

Johnson was convicted of sexual battery in May 1994 and April 1999 while Harris was convicted of indecent behavior with juveniles in May 2004.

Bond for was set at $5,000 each.
