Karl Bruchhaus selected as next Calcasieu Schools Superintendent

The Calcasieu Parish School Board narrowed down the field of four finalists to select its new Superintendent of Schools. After a lengthy interview process, the board chose Karl Bruchhaus to succeed Wayne Savoy in the post. KPLC's Erica Bivens will have more on this story on Nightcast.

Also, it looked and sounded a like the real thing in Sam Houston Jones State Park. KPLC's Haley Rush followed along as local first responders staged a search and rescue.
