Sinkhole opens up in Downtown Memphis

(WMC) – Weather may be to blame for a large sinkhole in Downtown Memphis.

It opened up at North Front Street and A. W. Willis Avenue following relentless storms last week.

Luckily, it was spotted before anyone was hurt or any cars were damaged.

It is unclear how long it will take for city engineers to get the sinkhole fixed, but Monday's rain could delay their efforts.

Around 11 a.m. on Monday, crews were on the scene working on the sinkhole.

There will also be sunny skies with no chance for any rain! You could not ask for a better way to finish the weekend!
