Man pulled over with 4 year old in car, arrested

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Deputies arrested a Paragould man on drug charges Thursday after they saw he had warrants out for his arrest.

According to the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, Tremaine Hogan, 23, was pulled over on Highway 63 at South Caraway.

Deputies noticed Hogan's 4-year-old daughter in the backseat of the SUV. Jonesboro police had issued warrants for Hogan for nonpayment of fines.

After being arrested, deputies found a bag of marijuana and a gun in his car.

His daughter was taken into custody by the Division of Children and Family Service at the Department of Human Services.

Hogan faces misdemeanor charges for possession of a firearm by certain persons and possession of a controlled substance.

    A Crowley Police Department K-9 officer died in an overnight shooting that left two others dead and an officer wounded.  The K-9 officer Roscoe was transported to the Calcasieu Parish Coroner's Office on Thursday around noon. Police held a procession for the slain K-9 officer. Roscoe is set to be cremated tomorrow in Sulphur.  State police are continuing to investigate the shooting. The identity of the victims are unknown at this time. Copyright ...

    Overnight we are less likely to see fog develop. We will have windier conditions which will limit the fog tonight. We will have slightly windy conditions with increasing clouds throughout the night. Lows will be in the middle 60s. Friday will start out with mostly cloudy skies. Showers and thunderstorms will be heading toward the area. The rain should arrive more in the evening, then will continue overnight into Saturday morning. Most of the heavier rain will be north of our area.
