RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

We now know the identity of the pedestrian killed Friday night on Spillway Road.

Rankin County Coroner Jimmy Roberts said 60-year-old Joe Don Faulkner was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 9 p.m.


The accident happened on Spillway near Hugh Ward Boulevard.

Faulkner, who is from Arkansas, suffered massive head and body trauma.

According to our crew on the scene, a gray Jeep appears to have been involved.

The Rankin County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
