Lake Charles couple and realtor featured on TLC show

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

70 hours of filming for this 30 minute moment. Sitting in their now home with families and friends, this is the date Charlie and Samantha Bartlett have been waiting for.

"I have no idea what it's going to look like," said Charlie Bartlett. "They never showed us any clips or anything so it's going to be a full surprise."

"We found about a month ago the day it was going to air so we've been patiently waiting," said Samantha Bartlett.

But wait no longer, as TLC introduces the couple and their real estate agent Nikki Pruitt on the show "My First Home."

"I love that I have a job that I can make people happy," said Pruitt.

The Bartlett's real estate agent is not new to TV or TLC.

"I was actually on the show last season and I'm really excited that they asked us to do it again," said Pruitt.

As for the Bartlett's, they said their first home buying experience was stressful at times. But they said with help from Pruitt, their first home is their dream home.

"I love this house," said Samantha Bartlett. "I never want to move."

The couple also said they were excited to showcase their city on national television as well.
