A 53-year-old Vinton man has been arrested on charges of simple burglary and theft over $500, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Charles Keith Bruno was arrested last week in connection with the burglary of a vehicle on Stevenson Street in Vinton on April 11.

Bruno, who was already in custody after his arrest by Vinton Police in connection with a residential burglary, admitted to burglarizing the truck, according to Myers.
