WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Traffic has returned to regular speed after I-75 northbound was shutdown from SR 18 to SR 25 in Wood County after multiple accidents involving at least a dozen vehicles Wednesday morning.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officers say a semi truck hit a median cable wire, which left hundreds of yards of wire in the road, forcing vehicles to a standstill. OSHP says at least a dozen trucks and cars hit the wire, and were disabled.

There were no injuries reported in the accidents, which happened around 3:45 a.m.

Shortly before 7 a.m., all lanes reopened to drivers. However, ODOT warns drivers to watch out for workers cleaning up the shoulders of I-75 northbound.
