BATON ROUGE, LA (KPLC) -

On Friday, May 2, the 2228th Military Police Company of the Army National Guard returned home from a 365-day deployment in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

They were welcomed home at about noon in Baton Rouge.

Among the soldiers returning home are: Spc. Raina Arnold of Westlake, Spc. Joshua Deville of Sulphur, and Spc. Joshua Fontenot of Lake Charles.

"Our local troops have been dearly missed by friends and family. The excitement is overwhelming as the time is upon us," said the Arnold family in an email. "Thanks to all of the soldiers for their continued service to our country."
