JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) -

The owner of a nutrition store in Jennings was arrested Tuesday on multiple drug charges, authorities said.

Jennings Deputy Chief Danny Semmes said Shannon Guillory, owner of Rival Nutrition, is facing two counts of distribution of a counterfeit controlled dangerous substance and one count of distribution of an anabolic steroids.

Semmes said detectives with the Jennings Police Department conducted a six-month undercover investigation where detectives carried out controlled buys and purchases of the illegally made substances.

Judge Steve Gunnell issued an arrest warrant for Guillory, of Lake Arthur, this week.

After Guillory's arrest on Tuesday, detectives carried out a subsequent search warrant of the store and found a number of bags containing a white powder, which is believed to be what Guillory was using to package his own vitamins.

Semmes said those bags of unknown substances are being looked at by the Calcasieu Parish Crime Lab.

Semmes said the Federal Drug Administration may get involved, depending on what comes of the crime lab's determination of the substances and if they were used to illegally make vitamins.
