FL prison explosion, feats of strength, dog death investigation

Good Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Breaking news overnight from Pensacola, Florida.  A gas explosion at a prison has killed two people and injured at least 100.  We'll have live images from the scene this morning as emergency crews get a handle on the situation and a partially collapsed building.

*From raising the state's minimum wage to making it easier to get hunting licenses, it's set to be a busy day for Louisiana lawmakers.  We'll have a look ahead at today's agenda.

*Families of the children who died from worsened infections after contact with a fungus on bed linens at Children's Hospital in New Orleans are asking if hospital officials tried to hide important information.  We'll bring you up to speed on these allegations today.

*Contraband Days kicks off this week and we have strongman, Jeff "T-Rex" Bankens joining us this morning to perform feats of strength!

*A Sulphur police officer is claiming self defense after fatally shooting a dog.  But that's not what an eyewitness and the dog's owner are telling 7News.

*It's a cool start to the day!  Meteorologist Ben Terry is tracking a nice weather pattern and will have a look ahead to the weekend.

Make it a Sunrise day!
