Tornado outbreak kills at least 11, destroys several homes

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*A tornado outbreak kills at least 11 people and destroys scores of home in Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma.  We are also getting a report of a person injured in north Louisiana.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry is keeping us up to speed on the severe weather threat in Southwest Louisiana today.  A tornado watch was just issued for much of our area and he'll let us know the likelihood of isolated storms occurring.

*As the legislative session picks back up today, we'll have the rundown of what they'll be debating.  From custom license plates to housing discrimination and college tuition, we'll tell you the status of each issue and where it goes from here.

*Several local families are planning funerals after a deadly weekend on area roads.  Find out what crashes remain under investigation today and how many involve alcohol.

*Meet a sweet dog or cat that needs a forever family!  We'll be opening the Sunrise Pet Shop.

Make it a Sunrise day!
