LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -

The 2nd Annual Dragon Boat Race will be held April 26 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center Seawall.

Twenty-five teams are set to compete in this year's race. Each team of 20 will paddle 41-foot long vessels to the beat of a team drummer. KPLC will have a team participating in the event.

There will be food and beverage vendors present, as well as karaoke, music and a health fair.

The CHRISTUS St. Patrick Foundation is hosting the event, which will benefit the Children's Miracle Network.
