LACASSINE, LA (KPLC) -

Louisiana State Police have confirmed that they are responding to an overturned vehicle on Interstate 10 Eastbound near Lacassine in Jefferson Davis Parish.

Authorities say the inside lane is blocked, causing traffic to back up to Iowa.

Both lanes of Interstate 10 Eastbound may have to be closed in order to clean up the area, because the vehicle was hauling a loaded trailer.

There is no estimate yet on how long cleanup efforts are expected to take. Motorists are advised to detour via US 90.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST: High temperatures, yet low rain chances this weekend

    Friday, May 26 2017 3:45 PM EDT2017-05-26 19:45:50 GMT
Mostly cloudy skies SaturdayMostly cloudy skies Saturday

Through tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies. No rain is expected despite the cloud coverage. The winds are still blowing out of the south and will continue to blow up to 15 mph overnight. This will keep our temperatures warm. Overnight, we will struggle to get out of the 70s, like last night. Over the weekend, we are still not expecting any rain for our Saturday. Instead, we will have mostly cloudy skies. The sun will try to peek through at times.
