Spring Art Walk returns to downtown Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -

The Spring Art Walk returns to downtown Lake Charles on Friday, April 25 from 5-9 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. It will feature galleries by several local artists as well as live music, art and craft vendors and food vendors. Maps listing participating artists and venues will be available at the event.

Of note is the 4th Annual Art Battle, which will be held during the art walk and which will feature teams of artists competing to create a mural in one hour in front of a live audience. The winning mural will be on display at the Artini Afterhours reception, to be held May 1 from 5:30-7 p.m. at SpringHill Suites Lake Charles.

The 700 and 800 blocks of Ryan St. will be blocked off for the event. Street parking will not be allowed after 3 p.m. in this area.
