LACASSINE, LA (KPLC) -

Authorities have identified the man who was found dead Thursday morning near rice dryers on Lakota Street in Lacassine.

Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Chris Ivey said 22-year-old Timothy Mason Chambers, of Lacassine, was found dead around 6 a.m.

"The investigation revealed that Chambers climbed to the top of the rice dryer bin and fell approximately 50 feet," Ivey said in a news release. "The body has been sent to Calcasieu Parish Coroner's Office for autopsy."

Jeff Davis Sheriff Ivy Woods said they do not suspect foul play, and that it appears to be either an accidental death or a suicide.
