EUNICE, LA (KPLC) -

A 42-year-old Church Point woman was arrested Friday, almost three years after running her husband over with a car, authorities said.

Eunice Police Chief Varden Guillory Sr. said Marshail Wildridge has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a July 2011 incident.

"(In 2011), we received a report of a subject being run over by a vehicle," Guillory said in a news release Monday. "Officers spoke to the victim and photographed his injuries.

"The victim stated that he was involved in a disturbance with his wife then exited the vehicle. The victim stated that his wife then struck him with the vehicle and left the scene."

A warrant was issued for Wildridge's arrest but despite talking with police on the phone several times, she never turned herself in.

Guillory said Wildridge is the Town Clerk at the in Church Point.

Wildridge was released after posting a $3,000 bond.
