CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

A 29-year-old Baton Rouge man is in custody after 11 pounds of marijuana was found in his vehicle, authorities said.

The Combined Anti-Drug Task Force said Chaddrick Vashwan Landry was driving east on Interstate 10 near the Opelousas Street exit when Detective Corporal Kevin Hoover conducted a traffic stop.

Landry said he was traveling from Sulphur to Baton Rouge.

"Corporal Hoover learned that Landry had an active warrant and he was placed under arrest," the CAT Team said Monday in a news release. "Corporal Hoover then deployed his K-9 Mako and obtained an odor response on the vehicle."

Authorities said a trash bag with approximately 11 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $10,000, was found in the bed of the pick-up truck.

Bond was set at $150,000.
