SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

A 32-year-old Sulphur man is facing a charge of fourth-offense DWI, authorities said.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Joseph Frank Morris was arrested Sunday morning near the intersection of Cities Service Highway and Maplewood Drive in Sulphur.

"When the deputy approached the truck and spoke with Morris, he detected a strong odor of alcohol along with slurred speech," Myers said. "Morris appeared very unsteady on his feet and he advised the deputy that he had been drinking prior to driving."

Morris, who has been arrested for DWI three times since 2008, was released Sunday night after posting a $10,000 bond.
