Happy Friday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*At least nine people are confirmed dead after a fiery crash involving a bus and a FEDEX truck in California.  The charter bus was carrying high school students for a campus tour of a local university.  We'll tell you what went wrong.

*Common Core education standards continue to be divisive across the nation and here in Southwest Louisiana.  This morning, you'll hear from an assistant principal at a Lake Charles middle school who supports the standards.

*Louisiana's "Kissing Congressman" says he is not resigning.  Find out why Vance McAllister is standing firm in his role after a scandal this week that involved video of him kissing a married staffer.

*The U.S. government is threatening to withhold Medicaid funding for Louisiana.  Federal officials are warning the Jindal administration that funding will be withheld if progress in the privatization of several former LSU hospitals does not move forward.

*How do healthy black bean, spinach and cheese quesadillas with a side of salsa sound for a weekend meal?  That's what we're cooking with our friends from West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital in the Sunrise Kitchen this morning.

*It's going to be a busy weekend with Movies Under the Stars, the Downtown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival, Louisiana Railroad Days and more!  We'll have the rundown and Ben Terry's forecast so you'll know what to expect.

Make it a Sunrise day!
