LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A 22-year-old Lake Charles man, already in jail on unrelated sex crime charges, has been indicted on a charge of sexual battery.

Michael Anthony Dejean II was indicted Thursday by a Calcasieu Parish Grand Jury in connection with an alleged incident in 2012.

Dejean, who remains in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a $950,000 bond, was arrested on Nov. 14, 2013 and indicted in December on charges of aggravated rape and illegal use of weapons.

According to the December indictment, Dejean used a firearm in an attempted rape.
