What's next for blighted lakefront property?

Good Wednesday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*The City of Lake Charles may divide lakefront property into smaller parcels to attract more developers.  The projects would be on a smaller scale, but you'll hear why some on the Lake Charles City Council say it could add up to big development.

*The Calcasieu Parish School Board's new out-of-zone policy will take effect this fall.  We'll tell you how it will affect students wishing to stay in their current schools.

*A group of lawmakers wants to put a crucial healthcare decision in the hands of voters.  They are proposing a constitutional amendment that would put expanding access to Obamacare up for a vote.  We'll tell you where that plan goes from here.

*From a local performance of "Beauty and the Beast" by high school students to a big job fair, we'll tell you what's in the Sunrise Day Planner.

Make it a Sunrise day!

For the rest today, the rain chances remain high at 70% through the afternoon. Most of the rain will be to our west over in Texas, and along the Sabine River. There will not be as much rain in places to our east. Parishes like Allen, and Jeff Davis may only see some drizzle and light rain at times. Western Cameron, Calcasieu, Beauregard, and western Vernon parishes will likely have more rain throughout the day. This will be mostly rain, with storms unlikely.
