The Cowboys will face No. 1 Louisiana-Lafayette in a non-conference game starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday night at Cowboy Diamond.
The Cajuns moved back up into the top spot in the Collegiate Baseball poll on Monday after sweeping a weekend series against Troy.
The Cowboys are 12-4 at home this season and are coming off a three-game sweep of Houston Baptist. McNeese (19-11) is in first place in the Southland Conference with a 9-3 mark.
The Cajuns (30-3) have won six straight and 20 of their last 21. They are ranked third in the Baseball America and USA Today polls.
The Cajuns, who play UNO Tuesday night, are set to start lefty Connor Toups against McNeese righty Michael Desabrais.
ULL leads the all-time series 88-62 and has won 13 of the last 15 meetings.
McNeese is hitting .292 as a team with 53 doubles, three triples and 13 home runs. The Cowboys' pitching staff has a 4.21 ERA.
ULL is hitting .326 as a team with 82 doubles, 19 triples and 41 home runs. The Cajuns' pitching staff has a 2.97 ERA.
