Election results have started to come in

Good Evening,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom, where election results have started to slowly come in within the last hour. Several big races are being decided tonight, including 14th District Judge District F, Sulphur Mayor, DeRidder Mayor, and a number tax items in Calcasieu and Jeff Davis Parish. We'll have full results tonight at ten.

Another story we're working for Nightcast is the ReAlliety Challenge. It's dubbed "Southwest Louisiana's Dirtiest Party of the Year." Tonight, you'll see why.

Also, we'll have a recap of today's statewide disaster drill that brought hundreds of first responders to Southwest Louisiana. And, MaciFest brought out big crowds to see Bethany Hamilton, the professional surfer whose real life story inspired the movie "Soul Surfer."

Plus, more rain is on the way. Meteorologist Zack Fradella will have the details in his forecast.

Fortunately the rains held off for the McNeese Football team's second Spring Scrimmage. KPLC's Rebecca Hale is on the Sports desk with the highlights.

We'll see you tonight at Ten for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
