BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The last LSU football practice before Saturday's spring game included student spectators, which usually doesn't happen, and even some student competitors auditioning for the role of punt returner.

Head coach Les Miles said he told his players to tweet invitations to classmates, and even make personal pleas in their classrooms.

There was plenty of entertainment for their efforts.

"That's the spirit of college," Miles said. "Really, people enjoying other people's lives and kind of seeing what other people go through."

"It's just fun; I just take it as fun," said Kenneth Tarabante, an LSU grad student. "I don't like too much attention on myself, but it's great. For a year, one day, have all this fun. It's awesome."

"The shorter big fella, yeah. To be honest with you, I thought he was maybe the MVP," Miles added.

The gates to Tiger Stadium open at 11:30 a.m. The game starts at 1 p.m.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Nice weather for our Monday, then more rain this week

    Sunday, February 18 2018 4:59 PM EST2018-02-18 21:59:25 GMT
Rain likely by the middle of this weekRain likely by the middle of this week

Tonight, there will be plenty of clouds around, with a few breaks in between. There should not be any rain around us for the night. It will be warm and muggy. Lows tonight are only in the mid 60s. There is also a good chance we will see fog overnight. There is already plenty of fog at the coast, and that should spread further inland overnight. Take caution on the roads in the morning on your commute. Monday should be another dry, but cloudy day.
