    Over the last couple of weeks someone has been circulating so-called BP oil claim forms in the Lake Charles area. While man, if not most medical claims associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill have been settled, someone is holding meetings around the Lake area trying to get people to sign up. But they're not too forthcoming when it comes to saying who they are or who they represent. LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A 50-year-old Sulphur man was indicted Thursday on a charge of aggravated rape.

Vance Glenn Laughlin Sr. was arrested by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office in February on nine counts of aggravated rape.

Authorities said Laughlin engaged in sexual intercourse with a 25-year-old mentally disabled woman on numerous occasions between Feb. 1, 2013 and Nov. 23, 2013.

Laughlin remains in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a bond of $1.8 million.

 

Other Indictments

Also on Thursday, a 57-year-old man was indicted on an aggravated rape charge.

John Lee Henderson Jr. has been accused of raping a 22-year-old sometime between April 2010 and May 2012.
