Ft. Hood shooting update, Jindal's alternative health plan, tax vote talk

Good Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*The all clear has been given at Ft. Hood after another deadly shooting at the Army post.  We'll tell you about the shooter that is said to have had PTSD, the number of people killed and how many are in the hospital this morning.

*Governor Bobby Jindal is pitching an alternative to Obamacare.  He says the Affordable Care Act should be repealed in its entirety, but says fellow Republicans need to offer a better way.  Find out about the plan he's suggesting.

*New information reveals the Obama administration secretly financed a social network in Cuba to stir political unrest and undermine the country's Communist government.  We'll tell you about the Associated Press investigation that is shedding light on the story this morning.

*Your annual springtime crawfish boil may be hard to come by this season.  Crawfish farmers are saying crawfish aren't getting into the traps like they should be because of water temperature.  Find out what that means for crawfish prices.

*There are new taxes on the ballot in Calcasieu Parish for this Saturday's election.  We will have a live interview with Parish Administrator Bryan Beam about these and how they could affect your community.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry says there's a threat for severe weather tonight.  He'll have an hour-by-hour look at the increasing chance for strong storms, as well as the weekend outlook.

Make it a Sunrise day!

For the rest today, the rain chances remain high at 70% through the afternoon. Most of the rain will be to our west over in Texas, and along the Sabine River. There will not be as much rain in places to our east. Parishes like Allen, and Jeff Davis may only see some drizzle and light rain at times. Western Cameron, Calcasieu, Beauregard, and western Vernon parishes will likely have more rain throughout the day. This will be mostly rain, with storms unlikely.
