LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced the Spring 2014 schedule for its Movies Under the Stars series.

The first in this year's lineup is "Frozen" on April 4 at 7 p.m. in Prien Lake Park. The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments. Snacks will also be available for purchase on-site.

Seating is first come, first served. The event may be canceled if inclement weather is expected.

Future dates for upcoming movies in the series include the following: "The Amazing Spider-Man" on April 11, "Steel Magnolias" on April 18 and "Despicable Me 2" on April 25. All movies will be shown at 7 p.m.
