TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

She's back.

The Yarnbomber has struck again, this time in downtown Toledo.

But she's doing it for a special cause: children.

The first thing you need to know is that the Yarnbomber is shy.

She doesn't want her identify revealed, kind of like the Lone Ranger.

It's also part of her mystique.

The yarnbombs seemingly appear out of nowhere.

"I just love to do it. I can't explain why. I love doing it. It's just a huge passion and I just want to keep doing it," said the Yarnbomber.

The yarnbombs are wrapped around poles, trees, parking meters, even bike racks.

On Sunday, the Yarnbomber bombed a whole block on Adams Street between Erie and Ontario.

She did it outside the headquarters of the Lucas County Children Services Board.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

"People in the community need to know that child abuse is a crime but it is preventable and wrap our arms around our friends, neighbors and family members," said Julie Malkin of the Board.

It took the Yarnbomber and her crew hundreds of hours to make the beautiful blue forms along Adams Street.

It took another six hours to stitch them into place on the trees and poles.

The Yarnbomber believes kids are important.

"Anyway to make people aware of child abuse and how it can be prevented and stopped, I would like to be part of that," said the Yarnbomber

It's something the Yarnbomber does one stitch at a time.
