Saggy pants ban extended to another parish

Happy Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Pull up your pants in Jeff Davis Parish or face a fine!  We will explain the wording of this new ordinance that works to strengthen a ban on too much exposure in public.

*In the legislative wrap this morning, we'll tell you the status of the proposed changes to the TOPS program, a bill to protect first responders and two bills aimed at toughening domestic violence laws.

*Early this morning, President Obama met Pope Francis at the Vatican.  The last time he was there was in 2009, when he was still riding a wave of popularity.  The situation is different this time and we'll tell you what's on the President's agenda with the Pope.

*Fort Polk is preparing for future educational challenges in Vernon Parish schools with its first ever education symposium.  It's happening this morning and we will tell you how to attend.

*In the past few weeks, we've seen a boom in the amount of what many people call "mosquito hawks" or "flying daddy long legs."  What's behind the surge and what role do these insects really play?  You don't want to miss this interesting story!

*The Banners Cultural Series at McNeese State University is in full spring swing!  We'll have a live interview about some of the headliners you can check out over the next two months.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry says we will see some rain today, possibly even severe storms.  He'll break it down for your community in his pinpoint forecast.

Make it a Sunrise day!
